Dr. Amitabh Varma is the first ever Neurology doctor to be designated as Honorary Physician to the President of India. Since 1983, he is practicing and is one of most senior Neurologist of Delhi. He completed MBBS from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal in 1972 and DM – Neurology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1979. Prior to it, he was teaching Doctors at AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr. Amitabh Varma is the Fellow of American Academy of Neurology. He is a doctor of repute and well-known for Regenerative Therapy in Neurology. He has been connected with various International Organization of Neurology in various capacities and was also founder Organizing Secretary of Indian Academy of Neurology Congress in 1994 at New Delhi. Dr. Varma was instrumental in establishing Department of Neurosciences at various Hospitals in New Delhi, including Batra Hospital and Apollo Hospitals.
