Dr. Gautam completed MS (General Surgery) and senior residency from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Prior to joining Jaypee Hospital, he was working as an assistant professor at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. Dr. Gautam routinely performs advanced laparoscopic procedures especially those pertaining to the hepatobiliary system & lower gastro-intestinal tract. He also has a keen interest in retro-peritoneoscopic and transperitoneal renal and urinary tract procedures. Dr. Gautam has been involved in teaching of both undergraduate and post-graduate surgery students and actively participates in thesis related and other clinical research projects. He has 5 papers published in national and international journals to his credit.
