Dr. Yogesh Batra is a Senior Consultant & HOD of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the  Indraprastha Apollo Hospital Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. His educational qualification includes an MBBS from the much famous GSVM Medical College, Kanpur; an MD in Medicine from the same institute; and a DM in Gastroenterology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. In his medical practice of 17 years, Dr. Batra has obtained Life Membership of Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Indian National Society for the Study of the Liver, and Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India. He has developed a special interest in Hepatology including transplant hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound, with 15 years in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Liver Transplant. Dr. Batra has authored various papers and has won awards for the same. He keeps attending regular seminars and workshops to enhance his knowledge.

  • 2002- Best paper award in the plenary session for the paper entitled ‘Role of Granulocyte Colony Stimulating factor in the management of patients of acute liver failure’ presented at the annual conference of the Indian Association of the study of liver meeting at Lucknow.
  • 2002 – Received Young Investigator Bursary for presenting paper entitled “Vaccination against Hepatitis A virus may not be required in India: results of a sero-epidemiological study” at the annual conference of the European Association of the Study of Liver Disease Madrid, Spain.
  • 2002- Observer in GI Endoscopy at the University of Hamburg, Germany under Professor Nib Sohendra for one week.
