Coconut Dessert With Coconut Milk Shake

The Coconut is one of the most nutritionally rich foods on earth. The water and white flesh or “meat” of the coconut are high in a plethora of minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients, electrolytes, saturated fat and caprylic acid.

Coconut Water is extremely refreshing and replenishing, chock full of nutrients!! Pregnant women, nursing mothers, patients recovering from surgery, athletes, yogis, children and elderly are encouraged to drink fresh coconut water.

Coconut Oil is a medium chain saturated fat that is easily converted into energy making it a healthy addition to any diet. What’s unique about coconut oil is it contains caprylic acid, which is high in powerful anti-fungal properties that fight the overgrowth of yeasts and intestinal bacteria including candida.

The Flavour is mild, add to sauces, soups, desserts, as a butter substitute and in protein shakes and smoothies. Aside from being a delicious addition to almost any dish it has a high smoke temperature, making it a very stable cooking oil to use.

If using other oils, such as olive oil or seed/nut oils, check the smoke temperature, keep temperatures low when cooking and/or simply use at room temperature, adding to warm dishes once removed from heat.

Apply topically for a 100% natural beauty product. Virgin coconut oil is absolutely the best moisturizer for lips, skin, hair, feet and nails!

Take Note: Be careful when applying coconut oil to the face, it may be too heavy for some skin types, resulting in breakouts.

Facial Hydration Mask (1-3 times per month).

  • Apply a thin layer of oil to the face, rinse/wash off 10-15 mins after.
  • Gently pat skin with face towel to dry.

Hair Conditioning Treatment (2-4 times per month).

  • Apply ½-1.5 tsp of coconut oil to dry hair. Gently massage into hair and scalp, from root to tip. *No need to completely saturate the hair, a little goes a long way.
  • Allow for the coconut oil to absorb into the hair 3 hours or longer. Shampoo (and condition) as usual to remove any excess oily residue. After 3-4 treatments, hair will be noticeably shiny and soft.

Lip & Body Moisturizer (Apply daily or as often as desired)

  • Apply a small amount to lips and skin including feet, hands and elbows. Add natural essential oils for a light fragrance.

I’m a huge fan of the Coconut!! With so many ways to use it, how can you go wrong by giving it a try?!

It is important to always make efforts to introduce new foods into the diet. Taking just a few moments to make an informed decision about your diet is well worth it. Get creative and enjoy healthy eating!!
